I suspect this might have been caused because I manually disabled MAMP Pro helper Launch Agent on macOS. The alert kept on being the only thing I saw when I tried to start the app and then it would just close.Īfter doing some digging around the web, I ended up here and the following command fixed it: sudo launchctl load -w /Library/LaunchDaemons/de. I contacted support, they advised me to uninstall/reinstall and that didn’t help. You can either restart the application and try again or re-install the software. I am now left with a file called 'CMAMPROunins000exe' that causes file explorer to become unresponsive if I try to delete it. By default, the web server (Apache) starts on port 8888 and the database server (MySQL) starts on port 8889. I'm trying to uninstall the current version of MAMP so that I can backdate my version, however I deleted the main folders before realizing there was an uninstaller. The status bar in the upper right corner shows the startup status of the servers. Launch MAMP and click the Launch Servers button. Out of the blue, MAMP Pro started presenting me with an alert when I tried opening the app:Įither you did not provide the necessary admin credentials or the MAMP PRO package could not be initialized correctly. Once the installation is complete, you are ready to start your local servers.
